Swaper Platform OÜ has appointed Aigars Boruks as Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Indrek Puolokainen. A. Boruks takes on the role as Swaper enters its next phase of growth, with plans to expand the offering for platform users and strengthen its presence in Estonia.
Aigars Boruks has become CEO, succeeding Indrek Puolokainen, who had served in the role since 2020. With more than 16 years of experience across fintech, banking and audit, A. Boruks brings strong industry expertise to the position. Prior to joining Swaper Platform OÜ, he held various roles at Exante, Ecommpay, SEB, Deloitte and Swedbank. In recent years, he has also advised P2P businesses on executive decision-making and business development. As CEO, A. Boruks will lead the company’s day-to-day operations, drive process improvements and contribute to Swaper’s strategic development and long-term growth.
“I am honored to take on the role of CEO at Swaper at a time when the company is well established and ready for its next phase of growth. We are well positioned to achieve new milestones and exceed long-standing expectations. I would like to sincerely thank Indrek Puolokainen for his dedicated work and contribution to the business. It is clear that the company has been carefully managed and that a strong foundation has been built for the future.” – Aigars Boruks
Looking ahead, Swaper aims to expand its network of loan originators to offer users a broader range of opportunities across different products and markets, while continuing to improve the platform through greater functionality, automation and more advanced portfolio tools. The company also wants to help strengthen the reputation of Estonia’s P2P sector by promoting higher standards of transparency, supporting sensible regulation and contributing to industry self-regulation. Another priority is to attract more users from Estonia by widening local access to global high-yield loan opportunities.
Founded in 2016, Swaper is an Estonia-based P2P platform that allows users to buy claim rights from several loan originators operating in Latvia, Spain, Peru and Estonia, giving them access to consumer and business loans through a single marketplace. Positioned as a passive-income opportunity, the platform offers the potential to earn up to 16% annually. As of March 2026, Swaper reported around 10 000 platform users, over 1.1 billion EUR in loans funded since inception and more than 17.2 million EUR paid out to users in interest.
Swaper’s latest published results for 2024 reflect continued momentum in both business performance and platform activity. The consolidated revenue increased from 2.97 million EUR to 4.43 million EUR in 2023, while gross profit rose from 739 641 EUR to 805 897 EUR. Active platform users grew by 17% year over year and new users roughly doubled.
