We are informing you about important updates to Swaper’s Terms of Use, effective from July 30, 2025.
These changes reflect our ongoing commitment to enhancing your experience and strengthening our platform, particularly through the implementation of a new Know Your Customer (KYC) provider to improve and automate our onboarding process.
What you need to know:
- The current Swaper Terms of Use remain valid until July 29, 2025, 23:59.
- The updated Terms of Use will officially come into force on July 30, 2025.
We encourage you to review the full updated Terms of Use at your earliest convenience.
Go to your Swaper user account -> My profile -> check the new Terms of Use under Agreements section. Your continued use of the Swaper platform from July 30, 2025, will indicate your acceptance of the new terms.
For your convenience, here is a short summary of what is changing:
- User Identification: Swaper may now use a third-party “Verification Provider” for user identification.
- New KYC provider – ShuftiPro.
- New User Requirements: There are more detailed obligations for users, including providing information on your status as a Politically Exposed Person (PEP), and a prohibition on using funds from criminal activities. It is related to new KYC process and procedures implementation.
- Liability Clauses: The section on liability has been separated into two distinct parts: one for the User and one for Swaper for understanding.
- Technical change: The definition for a “Payment Processing Fee” has been removed as it is not applicable.
- Data Processing: as KYC provider is UK based company but with data storage in EU, the new Terms of Use states that user data may be processed into and outside of the European Economic Area (EEA).
